Thinking that my other portrait of Barnabas might be a bit too MUCH of a makeover [link] , I also prepared this more traditional version of the portrait. Barnabas is shrouded in the painting in, what else... Dark Shadows, natch .
Wow, well, hey, thanks so much. It makes me feel pretty cool and like some big deal every time anyone comments. I might try the t shirt idea sometime. Do you think it would work as well or be as desired as a shirt design if I changed it to Nosferatu or a more generic looking vampire? I'm just thinking of what I could do with it on my own away from the Dark Shadows likeness.
yeah its always nice to get a comment ~ i personally love getting comments and i freak out if i get long nice comments XD
yeah XD i would wear i t shirt like that ... ................ oh a Nosferatu in this stile would be kick ass i WANT a t shirt like that now XD yeah it would be cool .. you could evan change it in to the classic dracula look real easy .. but Nosferatu would be the most easy choice .......... but what would you have him holding ~
cool, I might actually try to rework it ointo a nosferatu. I don't know what I'cve have him holding, that's a good question... omg. O m friggin' g. I bet it would look cool reworked as this guy [link] .
yeah the Nosferatu thing would work pretty well .. though i would like to see it as the "classic" dracula look [link] not like this *though i find this dracula look kick ass !* more like this one [link] i dont know why i just think it would be cool XD .............. maybe a bottle of blood or some thing XD or maybe just have his hand there just in some different pose ..... ... yes ... yes that would look really cool XD
That is a really cool photo, the first one. I wish I could just sit around and draw stuff like that all the time. Can't, though. Oh yeah, classic Lugosi Dracula would be grewat. With him doing his hand gestures. Good call.
Thank you. I agree. The mohawk version was more of a satirical afterthought to fit with the makeover angle mentioned in the contest description. Giving him that particular retro and modern inspired hairstyle over his own unique one as an attempt to "make him over" was the best I could think of to bring a sort of humorous idea to it that no one else might. I like and believe in both versions but I definitely like the more serious one better.
